#109: Dr. Chad Edwards – Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Dr Edwards is the Medical Director for the Patriot Clinics which specialize in treating  Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder using HyperBaric Oxygen Therapy. He is also the Medical Director of the Full Circle Health Clinic in Edmond, OK.

Dr. Edwards holds a B.S. in Exercise Science & Sport Medicine from Oklahoma Baptist University, attended Medical School at Oklahoma State University College for Health Sciences, and completed residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg. During his time in the Army he served several Special Operations units. He served as the Battalion Surgeon for a Special Operations unit, a Flight Surgeon and a Dive Medical Officer.

Fast forward to 2006 his health had deteriorated such an extent he turned to the internet. “Dr. Google” lead him to lyme disease and he was finally diagnosed with advanced neurological lyme.

Throughout the experience of treating Lyme disease, he found comfort and a breakthrough in the archetype of the Hero’s Journey. It helped him regain a sense of power in his healing, where medical providers were partners rather than an ultimate authority. Today he has an integrative counseling and hypnotherapy practice in California.

#107: Dr. Sally Shultz – Helping your mitochondria heal from Lyme Disease

Dr. Sally Shultz is a former ophthalmologist who was diagnosed in 2005 at a medical conference in which she participated in a live blood microscopy. She managed fairly well until 2010 when she developed neurological and physical symptoms.
