Episode #168: Rachna Patel, MD - Medical Marijuana for Lyme Disease

In this episode you will learn:

  • How cannabis can be used to alleviate pain, anxiety, and insomnia
  • Why the balance of CBD to THC matters when addressing your symptoms
  • And why CBD oil is not necessarily the safest to use

Meet this week’s guest: Dr. Rachna Patel

Dr. Rachna Patel graduated from Northwestern University and went to med schools at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. One sleepless night she came across a craigslist ad requesting a “medical marijuana physician.” She was immediately intrigued and began researching reading up on the medicinal uses of marijuana. A year and a half after she graduated med school she opened her own practice in Walnut Creek, CA, where she is the medical marijuana expert.

Once I became aware of Lyme and other insect carried diseases, I started seeing my chronic patients in an entirely different light. Join me as I speak with the the most fascinating people in the Lyme community. If you know someone I should interview, let me know.
