Episode #161: Aaron & Sarah Sanchez - Staying Married Through Your Lyme Journey

In this episode you will learn:

  • Why a supportive community is important when recovering from Lyme
  • Sarah’s experience as a health coach emphasized a fighting mindset for getting better from disease
  • How recovery from illness is as important as curing the illness itself

Meet this week’s guests: Aaron and Sarah Sanchez

Aaron’s wife, Sarah had been suffering from undiagnosed Lyme disease for 18 years. They have experienced first hand the toll Lyme disease takes on families and relationships. Aaron was actually inspired by the Lyme Ninja Radio podcast, and has made his own called Lyme Voice. Dedicated to those who are suffering and living with Lyme Disease, they explore the often complex social and emotional aspects of Lyme that impact households across the country.

Since we last spoke to them they have written a children’s book, made a short documentary, and are now full time podcasters.

I practice acupuncture in Clinton, NY, a small village in the geographical center of the state. Once I became aware of Lyme and other insect carried diseases, I started seeing my chronic patients in an entirely different light. Join me as I speak with the the most fascinating people in the Lyme community. If you know someone I should interview, let me know.
